Arsenal have submitted a formal bid of £60 million to Chelsea for the acquisition of Kai Havertz. The proposed deal includes an initial payment of £55 million.

with an additional £5 million in potential add-ons. Chelsea had secured the services of Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen in 2020 for a fee of £75 million, and the player currently has two years remaining on his contract.

In light of his desire to join last season's Premier League runners-up, rather than returning to the Bundesliga, Havertz is eager to sign a long-term agreement with Arsenal.

His time at Stamford Bridge has been largely frustrating, and the Germany forward is seeking a fresh start.Upon his arrival from Bayer Leverkusen in August 2020, Havertz was hailed as one of the most promising young talents in Europe, with a club record fee of £72 million being paid. However, his performances at Chelsea fell short of expectations, largely due to being utilized as a central striker, a position that does not align with his preferred role.

Mikel Arteta, the Arsenal manager, has held a strong admiration for Havertz for a considerable period of time and believes that the player's addition to the team can contribute towards narrowing the gap to Manchester City, the reigning Premier League champions.

The personal terms with Havertz have already been agreed upon by Arsenal, as reported by the Daily Mail. The newly proposed offer consists of a guaranteed fee of £55 million, with an additional £5 million contingent on performance-related and trophy-related achievements.
