Amber Rose Alleges Kanye West Dresses Partners Provocatively to Attract Male Attention

On Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, aired on March 5, 2025. Amber Rose made bold claims about her former partner, Kanye West. Rose, who dated the rapper from 2008 to 2010, suggested that West has a long pattern of encouraging the women in his life to wear revealing clothing not purely for artistic expression, but as a means to garner attention from other men, including his own friends. 

Rose’s allegations center on what she describes as a deliberate tactic by West. “He is for sure dressing her like that,” she said, referring to Censori, whose scant outfits have made headlines in recent years. She extended this observation to her own relationship with Kanye West and that of Kardashian, his ex wife, asserting that he consistently pushes his partners toward hyper sexualized fashion choices. 

According to Rose, West’s motivation goes beyond aesthetics or boundary-pushing creativity. “He wants all his friends to want to f*** his girlfriend,” she claimed, adding that he thrives on the idea of his partner being “the most desirable” woman in any setting. For West, she argued, the male gaze serves as validation of his own status and influence.

Reflecting on her time with West, Amber Rose recounted specific instances that shaped her perspective. She described a trip to Paris or Italy during their relationship when West insisted she wear a sheer, see-through dress. 

Uncomfortable with the choice, Rose said she broke down in tears and argued with him, only to relent after he framed it as a matter of “fashion” and touted his own genius. “I ended up wearing it,” she admitted, but noted that she rebelled in private by opting for his oversized, baggy clothing when they were alone a subtle act of defiance against the persona he sought to craft for her.

This isn’t the first time Rose has addressed this dynamic. In a March 2024 appearance on Bethenny Frankel’s podcast, she described herself as “naturally conservative” and hinted at feeling pressured by West to adopt a “sexpot” image that clashed with her personal instincts. Those earlier remarks gained new context with her latest statements, painting a picture of a relationship where creative control and personal identity were in constant tension.
